Olivier Rodrigues is an epicurean luthier, curious about everything that can be integrated into his profession, skillfully mixing pure craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology and innovative materials.
No wonder after having passed a “University Diploma in Technology” (DUT) in Physical Measurements then followed by a “Specialized Higher Studies Diploma” (DESS) in Electronics and Telecommunications, and as that was not enough for him, he decided several years later to tackle a Higher Technician Certificate (BTS) in Mechanical Design.

He started building his first electric guitar in 1992, his first acoustic guitar in 1996.

Its philosophy is to perfect in all humility, the fusion between the rules of traditional violin making acquired (as well as the study of the big brands that are Fender, Martin, Gibson …) to technology to keep only the best of two worlds while integrating design elements from other fields (carbon, damascus steel …).

Each model is unique according to the client’s specifications, favoring work by hand but without excluding other technologies to the extent that they bring something more to their creations.

A great admirer of Mark Knopfler since adolescence, the idea of ​​paying homage to him came quite naturally with the model “Sultancaster”.
Without trying to make a conform copy of the Fender Strat fiesta red. Same for the “Valentine” model which has an inspiration from the Pensa-Suhr MKI without copying it line for line.

Olivier Rodrigues’ workshop in which, beyond construction, he repairs, maintains and regulates instruments, is located in the Haute-Vienne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, in Jourgnac.
